ANTIQUE PLANT
SCANS
The following
scans are from 19th century magazines , journals and books and represent
scans of the inside and outside of manufacturing plants. Some
of the
engravings represent what the inside of a machine shop in the late
18th century looked like. Others show the outside of the plant
including things like: ships, canals, horse drawn carts and trains.
Most all of the outside engravings show a smokestack with black
smoke, a sign of a busy factory.
